Knowledge Intro:
Hi there,
This blog is going to be my first one, so i am a little bit nervous about it. Before i start writing my blogs i would like to introduce myself, i am Madan Mohan Nayak, i am a student and i think it would be enough for you all. Thank you....
And now moving towards my topic i would like to start with a famous Sloka in Sanskrit which defines the actual meaning of Knowledge.
विद्या ददाति विनयं विनयाद् याति पात्रताम् ।
पात्रत्वात् धनमाप्नोति धनात् धर्मं ततः सुखम् ॥
"BIDYA DADATI BINAYAM, BINAYAD YATI PATRATAM,
PATRATWAT DHANAMAPNOTI DHANAT DHARMA TATAH SUKHAM."
Which means Knowledge (Bidya) provides (dadati) politeness (binayam), politeness (binayad) makes you eligible (patratam) after you become eligible (patratwat) you are able to earn money (dhanam), you do generous works like helping people by utilizing your money that is how you fulfill your responsibility of being a human in this earth, and after-all this gives you pleasure and happiness (sukham) in your life. Likewise this small sloka teaches us a big lesson of life, we have to acquire knowledge by which we can fulfill the responsibility of ours in this Earth.
So knowledge can be facts, information, and skills acquired through education and experience, knowledge may be theoretical or practical. Knowledge is something that we can acquire from our parents, elders, teachers, books and also from nature.
I would like to add one of the quote of the great Indian philosopher Swami Vivekananda, about education:
"We want the education by which character is formed,
strength of mind is increased, the intellect is expanded,
and by which one can stand on one's own feet."
The meaning of education is not to read books but to build up our character. From the holy quote, education is what that leads to build our character in such a way that it spreads like the scent of the flowers in air. It makes the air pure and pleasant. Like the flowers our character should make others feel proud and happy. And of course to build up our character our parents, teachers, books and environment plays a vital role.
I am not telling about the knowledge which is present only in books, i am telling about learning anything and everything from our day to day life since we have born. Knowledge teaches us how to behave with others, how to respect others, how to move in society and how to progress in life.
So knowledge has no limit, it does not have any end also. So i will post miscellaneous things which will help you to gain any type of knowledge.
Thank you and Bye.....Have a nice day ahead.
